International Multicultural Education follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest academic integrity, objectivity, and quality standards in all published articles. This process involves anonymously evaluating manuscripts and is the cornerstone of our commitment to producing reliable, impactful scholarly work.
1. Initial Submission and Editorial Review

Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online submission system and ensure that all identifying information is removed from the manuscript text and file properties.

The editorial team will conduct an initial review to ensure the submission conforms to the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and quality standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors without external review.
2. Double-Blind Review Process

In the double-blind process, neither the authors nor the reviewers know the identity of the other. This ensures impartiality and rules out possible bias.

Authors must ensure their manuscript does not contain self-identifying details.

Reviewers receive anonymized manuscripts and related materials.

The editorial team selects two or more experts with relevant expertise to evaluate the manuscript. The reviewers are chosen based on their academic qualifications, familiarity with the topic, and the absence of conflicts of interest.
3. Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers assess submissions based on the following:

4. Review Outcomes

Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and a second review before publication.

Reject: The manuscript in its submitted form is not suitable for publication.
The editor decides based on the reviewers’ feedback and communicates the decision to the authors.
5. Revision Process

Author Revisions: Authors revise the manuscript based on reviewer feedback and provide a detailed response outlining how they addressed each comment in a separate file.

Second Review (if necessary): Revised manuscripts requiring significant changes may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
6. Final Decision and Publication

Accepted articles undergo copyediting, formatting, and proofreading before publication, and galley proofs will be sent to the authors.
